This is something that's been bugging me...

My main character is a warrior but because there are lots of warriors out there I would like to make a main monk in GW2 just to be sure I always will find a party/guild.

Do I, do transfer my titles from my warrior in GW1, make a warrior in GW2 to transfer my titles or will this also work if I make a monk or any other class?

Also, will I be able to transfer titles from different GW1 characters to 1 GW2 character? Let's say I have a Survivor title on 1 char and 1 elite skill hunter on the other...

I'd rather see all titles on my account rolled into one. It would be almost impossible for me to max out the titles i have on one char on my main.

I don't think titles are transferred, it wouldn't make sense if a character born two hundred later would receive titles.

You could get a title like "People Knew My Grandfather" or "Son of a Son of a Vanquisher".

I think what he means is can the boon received from two different GW characters be transferred to a single GW2 character, in the example of Survivor on one and Elite Skill Hunter on the other - not the title specifically.

I have been assuming no for some time now. I too would like Anet confirmation on this asap, for planning's sake. The recent article that describes the HoM as an instance for a given GW character implies to me that on GW2 character creation you can link that GW2 character to one of your GW characters and access the same HoM, making that GW2 character its descendant. This would allow you to go back to that linked GW character and pursue further titles for the boon that the linked GW2 character would get. If the boon is an item and its not customized, well, then of course any character could get it, otherwise, no. That assumption supports my hypothesis and in that case anyway the answer would be no, and its rather a direct transfer via HoM of one GW character's accomplishments to one GW2 character. I really wish Anet would speak out soon about the functions of this, since its pure speculation on my part, but it makes sense to me based on what we know so far.

I decided a little while back to retire all of my characters but one, largely due to titles. The amount of grind and the lack of my desire to repeat them on multiple characters led me to the desire of consolidating them all on one, as much as I could. Means possibly though I'll have one character to make in GW2 with a number of boons from GW titles, and most of the rest of the characters would have less from HoM, but I am already also leaning towards making only one GW2 character. This multiple character thing is really beginning to be for the birds. Who knows really how it'll all work.

Well, yeah, of course.

Have we much choice? Would be nice given the amount of time and work some titles take if Anet gave us a little more to go on so we could start making a few choices, hmm? Even when GWEN comes out we may not know the answers to the questions posed here regarding transferral into GW2.
